The Plan 2026
The Plan is a system of living and working designed to maximize my achievement and happiness.
The Plan is a process in which I--
- Get into state (wake up, exercise, coffee, read, review principles, gratitude);
- Meditate deeply on what I really want to achieve (categories & projects);
- Organize ideas and options for how I utilize my time to achieve those things (timeblock & action plans);
- Execute the work;
- Measure my progress against the goals (finance review).
Morning Plan
- Wake Up
- Momento Mori -- I could have not woken up today, but I've been given one more shot.
- Commit to diligently fending off disruption in the morning until in state, knowing exactly what will get done today and why. This is saying NO to reactionary to-dos or the fear of dissapointing people, and saying YES to the long-term success of myself and all those around me.

Health & Appearance
Vision-- My digestive issues, hair and toenail problems are in the past thanks to diligence. Cardio, fitness, good food, skin care, nice clothes. I have the appearance of order and discipline. I'm not something my wife has to settle for. I have more time than ever.

Environment

Letter
To understand what's going on in my head. The changes that have been occurring (I hope)...
It's easy to get on myself about all of this, but one thing I believe I have done well is learn how to be happy. Although I readily admit I spend too much time in somewhat unuseful analysis and over-analysis, one effect is that I've thought a lot about what truly makes me happy. I don't have a lot of fear about looking back later and feeling like I missed out on something I really should have done.
So I've produced good working conditions for a few people, made some interesting products and produced millions of dollars in value. But not tens of millions in a year yet. And why not? The world would benefit more if I focused my brain more on attaining higher aspirations.
THis sure is a beautriful house I ended up with!
My Principles
- Daily Discipline— Memento Mori. Every morning, sort what matters from what does not, and then do the former. Meditate deeply on what actually matters, so as to not waste time on the trivial. Through discipline, and relentless iteration, be thoroughly true to the man you should be. Because if you are true, if you put in your full effort and nothing less, what's to fear? Failure will have been out of your control.
- WIP— Denying onesself is an opportunity to practice control
- Clues— Sadness, anger & fear beyond a moment indicates that something remains out of sync with the logos. Listen and adjust.
- Stoicism, Gratitude— Practice daily to navigate the complications and negativities of life.
- Know Your Outcomes (Goal Setting)— Meditate on and articulate what you really want to see to completion.
- Essentialism— You can't do everything, so do only what matters, and leave remaining space for consideration. The important things are obvious upon a moment of meditation; the "to do" list comes second, if not disregarded entirely. In fact, decide your single priority and focus on it.
- Prepare, but then Be— 工欲善其事,必先利其器 (孔子). But also, waste no more time arguing what a good man should be; be one.
- Health Before Work— Neglecting your health or appearance means neglecting your highest self and your highest purposes. Your ability to perform or to care for others is reduced if you are unkempt, weak, disabled, or dead.
- Environment— The great luxury is freedom: time & space. For the mind to be clear, for the lungs to breathe deep, design and uphold your space.
- Seek (Study)— When you wake up with uncertainty, go dig. If you dig enough, you will find the answers on which to move forward with confidence. It's a matter of time, discipline, and patience; don't give up.
